GRAILS is a gallery for collectors of digital art, a CypherPunks product. Connect a wallet, claim a name, and hang the works you own the way you see them. One link to share, and a screen to play it on.

Ethereum · Updated 5 OCTOBER 2026

These docs explain how a gallery works, what each plan includes, how your wallet stays yours, and the terms, privacy and licences GRAILS runs under.

What GRAILS is

A gallery for the works you collect. GRAILS reads what your wallets hold, makes copies sized for screens, and lets you hang them: in sections, at the sizes you choose, with your own words beside them. Visitors see a calm room, not a wallet tab.

Every gallery has one link. Paid plans and CypherPunks holders get their own address, name.grails.gallery, and wallpaper mode, which plays the gallery full screen on any screen, a TV or a frame on the wall.

On a TV

Any TV with a web browser plays a gallery in wallpaper mode. On the TV, open tv.grails.gallery: it shows a four-digit code. On your phone, open the gallery, tap Send to TV and enter the code. The TV plays the gallery on its own, and your phone is free again.

Your phone remembers the TV, so the next gallery goes to it in one tap. It works in the browsers on Samsung, LG, Fire TV and Google TV; AirPlay or Chromecast screen mirroring works too.

Wallets and safety

Signing in is one free signature. It proves a wallet is yours, moves nothing and gives GRAILS no access to anything in it. The text names www.grails.gallery, in the standard form wallets recognise (EIP-4361), so your wallet can tell a copy from the real site.

GRAILS never asks for a transaction to show your gallery: no approvals, transfers or listings. The only transaction is the yearly plan, a plain ETH transfer you send yourself.

You stay signed in with a signed cookie that only this site can read. Sign out from your account at any time.

Works and media

The works belong to their artists and owners. GRAILS keeps copies sized for screens so galleries load quickly; the originals stay where they are, onchain, on Arweave, on IPFS or on a server, and each work’s page says where.

A work’s artist comes from its own metadata, from Raster, or from our record of its collection. Live works run in a sandbox, apart from the rest of the site.

Plans and payment

  • Free. One gallery, up to 25 works shown, at www.grails.gallery/g/name.
  • Grail. $99 a year, paid once in ETH at the rate shown when you pay. Unlimited works, your own address, wallpaper mode, and any work you own as your picture.
  • CypherPunks holders. Everything in Grail, free for as long as you hold a CypherPunk. One punk unlocks one account.

Founding year. A gallery claimed by 4 November 2026 gets 12 months of Grail, nothing to pay.

A plan is one payment a year, never a subscription: nothing renews by itself. When a year ends, the gallery shows its first 25 works and keeps the rest as you hung them; renewing shows them all again. Payments are transfers on Ethereum, final once confirmed.

Terms of use

Updated 5 October 2026. By connecting a wallet or using GRAILS you agree to these terms.

  1. Your wallet is your account. Keep it safe: GRAILS cannot recover a wallet or act for it.
  2. Names. First come, first served. We may take back a name that impersonates someone, infringes their rights or misleads, and some names are kept for the site.
  3. What you show. Your gallery shows the works your wallets hold and the words you add. You are responsible for your notes and profile. Nothing unlawful, infringing, hateful or deceptive; we may hide content or a gallery that breaks these terms or the law.
  4. The works. Owning a token does not transfer an artwork’s copyright beyond what its own licence grants. GRAILS shows works for their collectors; rights stay with their holders.
  5. Plans. As set out above. Prices may change for future years; a year you have paid for keeps its terms.
  6. As it is. GRAILS is provided as it is. Blockchains, wallets, indexes and storage outside our control can fail or change; to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from them.
  7. Changes. We may update these terms; the date above says when. Using GRAILS after a change means accepting it.
  8. Ending. You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Privacy

What we keep. The wallet addresses you connect; your name on GRAILS; what you add to your profile (a display name, bio, X handle, website and picture); how your gallery is hung and the notes you write; your payments (the transaction, amount and date); and which works your wallets hold.

What we do not. No email, no password, no tracking or advertising cookies, no analytics. We never sell or share your information for marketing.

Cookies. One to keep you signed in and a matching one that guards your changes. Your browser also keeps a few preferences of its own, such as the theme and wallpaper settings.

Who else is involved. Our hosting and delivery providers, which serve the site and its media; Alchemy, which we ask what a wallet holds; Raster, which we ask who made a work. Blockchains are public: ownership and payments can be seen by anyone.

Keeping and deleting. We keep your information while your account exists, and in backups for a limited time after. Change your profile from your account, or ask us to delete your account and what we keep about you.
